Comments: After graduation from high school I attended WSU in Ogden. I met
former high school classmate Penny Nichols in college and we later married. Penny is a librarian in the
Weber county library system. After I had the opportunity of serving our country in an army artillery unit
as an enlisted man, I entered the banking industry and worked for many years at First Security Bank of Utah,
which was merged into Wells Fargo Bank in 2000. A few years ago I retired from the banking profession as
a Vice President and Retail Banking Manager. I enjoyed banking over my 33-year career. I had the opportunity of
being elected as a city Councilman and providing service to the city of North Ogden for two terms (a total of
eight years), and being on the board of adjustments with classmate David Gladwell, who was our city's
attorney. I have served my church in various positions and enjoy providing service to people. I presently
do some limited work out of my office at home for some mortgage investors and do some marketing and sales
consulting for a limited client base. Penny and I have 2 adult children and 5 grandchildren. THEY ARE THE
HAPPINESS OF OUR LIVES. My hobbies are collecting PENS (2000 from various parts of the world), Rock 'N Roll
music (REAL OLDIES), and traveling. We have had the opportunity of meeting with and getting autographs of
Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Fabian, the Righteous Brothers, Neil Sedaka, Wayne Newton, and Englebert
Humperdinck.. - Penny's favorite. Life is GREAT - .. after Corp. America!!!
