Comments: After our illustrious high school years, I enrolled at the University of
Utah for what turned out to be about ten years including a two year mission to Austria and came out with a
medical degree and a few honors. The following summer I married my college flame, Pamela Woods, and we
are nearing our thirtieth wedding anniversary. I then went to southern California to do training in
family practice and midway through had an identity crisis and decided to pay back what I owed Uncle Sam with a
three year tour of duty in the Army in southern Germany. Our best souvenir was our first son, Matt.
We managed to collect two additional sons, Justin and Bryce, after we returned. All are still in various
stages of college and all have served missions. No marriages yet so we're not grandparents. I
started practice as a family doc on Bainbridge Island, a 5 by 15 mile island in the Puget Sound about a 30
minute ride from Seattle, in 1981 and have been here since. We have a farm house on 4 acres and over the
years have pursued running, road bicycling, skiing, boating and some singing. I was a bishop for five
years and now teach the teenagers in Sunday School. I love to come back to Ogden which still feels like
home.
